I'm Will Peters. I just graduated from Princeton University.
As a student in middle school, I was a reluctant reader, perhaps like many ASLA member's students. After taking a children's literature class in my sophomore year at Princeton, I became interested in how to get kids excited about reading. Over the past three years, including a COVID-19 gap year, I developed Bookji (short for Books + Emojis), a new full-featured social reading platform designed to engage kids in reading and make them life-long readers.
After piloting the platform with several schools last year, I am looking for 50 schools this semester to be part of our early adopters program. I was hoping you, or one of your member schools, might consider taking a look at Bookji and joining our program, and in exchange for your participation and feedback, I would be happy to offer Bookji to the entire school at no cost for the year.
Here's what two of last year's Librarians said about Bookji.
"My students loved Bookji and I would love to continue using it." -Ms. Casieri, Lawrence Intermediate School
"I really liked the Bookji platform, and so many of my students did as well." - Ms. Coppock-Huegel, School One Elementary School.
And from Mr. Drezek, Lake Shore Central School District, "Had a chance to check out Bookji today and it was fantastic! Hope this makes its way into our school libraries soon."

Thank you - Will
