Our Art teacher sometimes makes altered art journals with the old encyclopedias, you should ask. They are also good for book art.

Yeah, I am also interested with what others are doing with old DVDs and CDs. I recently started unboxing ours and transferring them to sleeves which saves a ton of space but I am second guessing myself as to whether this is a waste of time or not.

What are other secondary libraries doing with DVDs and CDs. Have you weeded all? Do you keep some? Does anyone ever check them out?

For weeded encyclopedias do you simply dispose of them? We realize recycling might prove very difficult because of the binding.
