Augmented Reality Books to Explore
April 11 from 11-12:30
Augmented Reality (AR) is a technology that is transforming how we interact with the world around us, and now it's revolutionizing how we read books! Augmented Reality books are a fascinating way to experience the world of literature and bring stories to life
like never before. We will examine titles that have augmented reality with details to order these interactive resources for your library.
Building the Metaverse in the Library
May 16 from 3-4:30
Building the metaverse in the library explores the possibilities of designing augmented and virtual reality experiences. The session will examine how libraries can leverage the technology to provide a unique experience for their visitors, allowing them to explore
and learn in a new way. To build and share immersive experiences, we will use web-based VR platforms and simple augmented reality apps.
June 6 from 3-4:30
If you've ever wanted to explore a far-off destination without leaving your library, virtual reality tours are just what you need. In this session, you'll learn how to create your own virtual reality tours using simple and accessible tools. We'll start by learning
about the different types of virtual reality tours, followed by creating your own tours. The session includes a discussion about 360-degree cameras, adding 3D assets to enhance a scene, and experiencing the tours in virtual reality headsets.
Information coming soon on additional workshop on
