Hi Michele - I had a student a couple years ago that spoke Mandarin albeit grade 1. 

I actually ended up working with my public librarian because she was able to search in catalogs all over the state. We got quite a few books!

I didn't try to buy any because my budget is so limited and I knew she wouldn't want them for long.
