This event is just for library directors (of all types, public, academic, special and school!) It’s not professional development, it’s about resetting, recharging and restoring your leadership practice. Registration closes on Thursday.
We have the Demco Book Doctor coming on Thursday to the Scranton Library in Madison. There are a few spots left in the

NEWS OF NOTE
Bloomfield native and author Anika Noni Rose speaks at the ALA Annual
Conference. “She told the crowd she still remembers the smell of Bloomfield (Conn.) Public Library’s Prosser Library from her youth. “I remember when you
had to look up a book not by using a computer but by getting a paper cut,” Rose joked. “Being at the library was like being at an amusement park. You could get everything at the library, and there was no time limit. You could be there for hours.””
