Good Morning CT Libraries,

CLC HAPPENINGS

Heading to ARSL in Springfield this week?  Catch Amanda in the Exhibit Hall on Thursday at 2:15 talking about Take Your Child to the Library Day.  Or catch me presenting with Maureen Sullivan and Lindsay Delligan, Director of the Jonathan Trumbull Library, on CLC’s Strategic Planning Cohort Friday at 11:30.  Are you presenting at ARSL?  Let our community know so we can support you!

And, speaking of small libraries, the Small Libraries Roundtable meets this morning at 10am.

Set the Stage meets on Wednesday.  And, the Assistant Directors Roundtable meets on Friday.

NEWS OF NOTE

Hooray, hooray, hooray for library media specialist Jennifer Cirino!  She is Westport Public Schools Teacher of the Year!

And, hooray to the Hotchkiss Library in Sharon for being featured in American Libraries Magazine’s annual design showcase!

Great job, Essex Library!  From WTNH, Children improve skills by reading to a supportive dog

Updates and pictures from the Southbury Library.  There was another article in the Republican American but when I tried to click on it my computer thought that the link was a virus, so I’m not including it here.

Bridgeport’s East Side Branch closes for renovations

Fairfield seeks designation for downtown area as arts and cultural district.

If you or your library is in the news and I miss it, drop me a line!

Have a good week,

Ellen
