Hi all. CLC has some vendors who can help with video production. CLC members are eligible for discounts.

For video projects large and small:

Padcaster

CLC info page – https://www.ctlibrarians.org/padcaster (login required)

Website - https://padcaster.com/

Padcaster transforms any iPad into an all-in-one mobile production suite. The easy-to-use accessories, such as microphones, lights, and a green screen, allow anyone to create professional-looking videos. Purchase a starter kit or just the accessories you need. All Padcaster products are available at an excellent CLC discount but you MUST contact our rep and provide our code number.

For a whole-school video solution:

Discover Video
CLC info page - https://www.ctlibrarians.org/discovervideo (login required)
Website - https://discovervideo.com/
Discover Video is a CT business that creates, installs, and supports digital media systems. Their DEVOS system empowers the non-technical to produce professional live streaming broadcasts, manage video-on-demand and unlimited digital signage, and distribute video content in-house and remotely. We understand that quite a few CT K-12 school districts are using the DEVOS system. For the CLC discount, contact our representative and identify your school as a CLC member.

Have a great weekend, everyone!

Subject: Re: [CASL-L] [EXT MAIL] Video Announcements

We have live news here at our middle school.  We have a small studio with a wall painted green.  We use a program called OBS and a switcher device called a black magic ATEM and a digital camera and an extra computer as a teleprompter.  We also use wevideo to create some of the content.  We house the videos on an unlisted youtube channel.  (though you could just send the video out through a google drive link.)

We also sometimes do pre-recorded videos.  To make these we use an ipad and wevideo and youtube to host the video.

These are daily videos.

Hi All,

Do any schools do video announcements either daily or weekly? Looking to use something that doesn't take too long to create, is easy to share and will be just a click of a link for teachers.

Suggestions??
