New! Introducing Towards Inclusive Accessibility in Libraries (TIAL)

We recognize that providing greater accessibility expands inclusion. Towards Inclusive Accessibility in Libraries (TIAL) seeks to address the knowledge gaps and biases that exist about people with disabilities and people who are aging, and to aid libraries in extending access to library resources and services, enriching the lives of all community members.

We are thrilled to introduce a new initiative of the CT State Library Division of Library Development. Building on its roots in the Growing Equitable Library Services (GELS) series, TIAL will officially launch this fall and here are a few of the opportunities you can look forward to:

  • Professional development on accessibility and aging
  • Engagement with creative aging programs
  • Resources in a variety of formats related to accessibility and aging

Coming in October

In October, we will announce new TIAL opportunities, including the first professional development series and a chance to provide your input!
