Hi Allison,

I have about 50 Wonder Books in my K-6 library. I allow grade 2-6 to borrow them. I think they're great. I prefer them to playaways because they have a USB charger as opposed to a battery, they only take an hour to charge, and the audio component is attached to the book. They're great for below grade level readers to access grade level texts.

I have had a few audio components detach from the book, but we were able to glue them back on.

Hope this helps,

Sarah

Yesterday at the conference I learned about Wonderbooks- which are basically a playaway embedded in a library/permabound book.
Looks like below. Has anyone (especially at the middle school level) used these? Playways are decently popular at my school, but we have to constantly source or order a book to go along with it as a companion so they can read along as they listen. This seems like a perfect solution.
Thanks for any info!
