LAST CALL Today at 2pm.  Join me for a coffee chat with John Chrastka of EveryLibrary as we unpack the November 2024 election and understand its implications for libraries

 

LAST CALL Two book contract trainings – we highly recommend each library sends a representative. Wednesday at 11:30am or Thursday at 4:00pm

 

Lots of Roundtables this week:   Today at 11:30 Academic Archives and Special Collections meets to talk about protecting collections from the weather!  Special Libraries meets Tuesday to talk about personal branding.  Library of Things meets Wednesday to talk about ways to store all the stuff!  AI meets Thursday to talk about the pros and cons.

 

LEGISLATIVE UPDATE

 

The Legislative Session started in Hartford last week.  As a reminder, this is the ‘long session’ where legislators will be debating a two-year budget.
