Good Morning,

CREC does not have reconsideration or challenge policies for the library. We’ve been trying for TWO years.

Please excuse any duplicate posting.

Dear CASL members,

Here is the Feb. 6 legislative update!

On Feb. 5th, 2025 SB 1271 was raised by the Children’s Committee. There will be a public hearing late next week.

What can you do NOW to help support SB1271

  1. Fill out the Save School Librarians page which will email your legislators.

  2. Share this link (https://www.saveschoollibrarians.org/caslfreedomtoread2025)  widely with people in your network who support students’ freedom to read.

These are the most important things you can do now.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at president@ctcasl.org.

Thank you for supporting students' freedom to read.

Jenny & the CASL board
