I was a part of the first cohort  this past fall and learned a lot! The course is well-received. I love Matt and Liz! They made learning about AI enjoyable with their wits and humor! The courses are self-paced modules where you get to experiment with different AI tools! They are flexible with the time they give you to complete the course. At the end of the course you get a badge/credly from SCSU. I also attended their monthly meeting that usually updated you with something about the class, answered any questions you might have or sharing something new. 

They are a really good team! Me and members in my dept also attended EdAdvance Fall and Spring AI Conference with Matt and Liz, which were equally great! I always feel inspired after their workshops! If you haven’t listened to their podcast, Chatedu please do. They invite educators, administrators, IT, experts in the field, Librarians, etc

I am excited to share that we are launching our fourth cohort for: AI in K-12 Education, a micro-credential from Skills21 at EdAdvance in partnership with Southern Connecticut State University’s Office of Workforce and Lifelong Learning (Register Here).

The third cohort that is well underway includes 100-plus exceptional educators from a wide range of backgrounds including district superintendents and assistant superintendents, a large group of library media specialists, and teachers ranging from K through 12. While designed for K-12 educators, faculty in higher education have also found the course relevant and valuable. The activities can be easily tailored to fit your context, making it a great fit for educators across settings. I’m pleased to say that the feedback was universally positive, including testimonials like this one: “This was one of the most helpful, engaging, and applicable PD Courses I have taken in a long time. I now feel more confident engaging with the AI tools presented in the course and gained a deeper understanding of how AI could benefit teachers and students while thinking about important considerations carefully and methodically.”

Dr. Liz Radday and I, hosts of the ChatEDU podcast, will lead this next six-week, self-paced training starting July 7th. The course includes five hands-on modules focused on integrating AI into your classroom, school, or district. We’ll cover:

• AI Foundations
• Text, Image, and Video Prompting
• Shifting Assessments with AI
• AI Multimedia
• Your Future Focus

We’re also offering optional Zoom meetings (6-7 PM) on these dates:

• July 10 (Thursday)
• July 17 (Thursday)
• July 24 (Thursday)
• August 7th (Thursday)

The cost for this course is $499 per participant, and registration is now open. Discounts are available for group registrations: 20% off for 2 participants and 30% off for 3 or more participants. Everyone who completes the program will earn a digital badge through Southern Connecticut State University in partnership with Credly.
