NPR
The White House has issued a memorandum asking Congress to claw back funds that have already been appropriated for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. We expect the House to vote on the rescissions package this week — even as early as Wednesday.

If you’ve ever had a relationship to, memories of, or faith in NPR – we urge you to take a stand.

If approved, American taxpayers get little-to-no savings—and at incredible cost. Communities with stations unable to survive these budget cuts would lose access to local news, national reporting, jazz and classical stations, local culture shows, food programs, coverage of local sports games, and crucial emergency alerting.

What does public media mean to you? Send a letter to your lawmakers. It takes just a few seconds and makes your voice heard.
TAKE ACTION ➔
Public media serves you and everyone who calls this country home in so many ways — and all for less than 0.01% of total federal spending.

If approved, Congress will be taking an unprecedented step of ending nearly half a century of support for independent, nonprofit, local media serving communities across the nation.

Join us in urging Congress to act in the interest of their constituents.
