From Project Look Sharp:

How do we give all or our students the habits of critical thinking about all media messages that will prepare them for life in an infodemic?

The 2-year ML3 partnership between AASL and the media literacy organization, Project Look Sharp, has developed an online PD course designed to support librarians as leaders of media literacy in their schools/districts. The 9 week online course, Empowering all Students Through Media Decoding gives participants the inspiration, knowledge, resources, and practice to integrate question-based, student-centered, curriculum driven media analysis into their work with students and/or other educators.

The 15 hour course includes 4 self-paced modules with engaging activities, videos, readings, and reflections.  The course begins and ends with 90 minute live online session and includes the crafting of individual activity plans, sharing and responding to peers, and individual coaching.

Watch this short video or see the brochure for the National CMD Course that runs October 7, to December 9, 2025. For more information and to register email looksharp@ithaca.eduDo not register until you have been notified- if you are selected, CASL will reimburse you.
