Subject: Re: [CASL-L] Thank you to LMSs presenting at CABE todayOh, wow, Katrina, what a surprising and much appreciated shout out to read this morning. Jenny and I had an incredible day talking to tons of supportive and appreciative Superintendents and
Board of Education members, including some in places like Bridgeport that recently let go of all of their LMSs, and want them back. They know the value of certified library media specialists. We are absolutely rallying the troops. Get ready. Stay informed and maybe consider participating in a micro-volunteer opportunity as we create them?!We ended the day with a full room of attendees at our presentation. If you’re curious to see what we shared, take a peek here: bit.ly/CTSchoolLibraries (Apologies, need to clean up the sources a bit. We’re all a work in progress . . . and volunteers!) Actually, it was a very interactive presentation with so many excellent questions and comments from the audience, that it made super fun and easy sharing about all the work that our CT LMSs do.Good luck to Tess and Lindsay though they don’t need luck. They’re terrific presenters and I marvel at their knowledge.Appreciative,ValValerie DiLorenzoCASL PresidentConnecticut Association of School Librarians' Organization Address:4 Wotton Lane
