It would truly be amazing to have Barb Johnson win the election for AASL President to advocate for all students and school librarians/programs at the national level.
Recently, as I was sending out an email to partner schools for Shannon Miller's Global Traveling Mural program, I thought this would be a great way to spread the word about Barb Johnson for AASL President!
Below is what I sent out; feel free to use/edit/adjust. Hoping some of you will spread the word with your school librarian partners throughout the state and country through your networks (traveling mural and/or others). When voting begins, I want to make sure each one of us is doing what we can to spread the word.
Happy New Year!
We received our 2nd piece from South Windsor on Jan. 5th. So cool, Christine! Our work slowed down so I'm pushing again. Hoping we can get it done and out to all by the end of January. We just need to finish coloring the sky and some waves.
OH, HEY, by the way, an incredible educator/librarian from CT is running for AASL President! She is truly amazing--brilliant, down-to-earth, funny, and she gets important things done for school librarians and students. To see more details, I copied/pasted some information that CASL sent out recently. Please help us spread the word about this fantastic candidate for AASL President with any school librarians that you know around the country. Notice there's a link to a session to meet Barb Johnson virtually if you'd like to find out more.
CASL is beyond excited to announce that our very own Barbara Johnson, Past President of CASL and CECA too, is running for AASL President! | | | To read more details from her site, click HERE. What can YOU do to support Barb's AASL Presidency campaign?
