Hi CASL friends,
Join us for a hands-on workshop designed for school librarians looking to strengthen advocacy and communications using their district’s
Portrait of a Graduate. This session will focus on translating district-level vision into
clear, compelling messaging that demonstrates how school library programs advance core educational priorities.
In this workshop, participants will learn how to:
-
Use the Portrait of a Graduate as a shared language to communicate the library’s impact on student outcomes.
-
Frame library programs, collections, and services in ways that resonate with administrators, principals, and boards of education.
-
Identify and collaborate with natural allies already invested in the district’s vision for student success.
-
Apply practical messaging tools to strengthen internal advocacy, budget conversations, and coalition-building efforts.
Participants will leave with concrete strategies they can use immediately to position their library programs as essential contributors to student success, equity, and future readiness.
