About Creating Accessible Digital Documents

This series consists of five workshops that focus on creating documents that are accessible for people who use screen readers and/or keyboards to navigate through digital content. The goal of this series is to provide library workers in CT with foundational knowledge needed to create accessible digital documents that comply with the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) 2024 Title II ruling on the accessibility of Web Content and Mobile apps provided by state and local governments.

Workshops in this series will focus primarily on the suite of applications that are part of Microsoft’s Office 365: Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel. The fourth workshop in this series will also cover the basics of creating accessible PDFs.
