Please take a look and share as appropriate!

Good afternoon,

Below, please see details from Susan Auchincloss, the CS-PLAN Project Director at Sacred Heart, regarding a suite of learning opportunities for computer science teachers this summer. Email Susan directly with any questions.

Code.org Regional Partner Sacred Heart University (SHU) is happy to announce its Summer Professional Learning opportunities for computer science teachers. Please see attached flyer.

Recognizing AI as a disruptor in education, all programming will address impacts and strategies to guide teachers. All workshops will address the new CSTA computer science standards and be held virtually. Spots are limited as these workshops will be offered nationally.

AI Train the Trainer for CS teachers. This workshop draws resources from Teach AI, Common Sense Media, and Code.org providing a structured action-oriented guide or school districts to implement AI safely. The workshop will focus on understanding AI technology to ensure that learning design is not being shaped by convenience at the risk of cognition.

Computer Science AI and Foundations (CSAIF) This year-long foundational course works through challenges and projects using collaborative activities. Topics include data science and understanding python, Java, networking, and cybersecurity. Closed system platforms are the cornerstone of the Code.org platform.

To register please complete this form
