TIAL Series: Creating Accessible Digital DocumentsCreating Accessible Digital Documents: PDFsThursday, March 19 | 10-11 am Join Matt Geeza, director of the CT Library for Accessible Books (CT LAB), for a 60-minute session that will cover the basics of creating accessible PDF documents. This session will review tips for creating accessible source document, how to convert them into PDFs that can be read by all, and will include an introduction to the steps used to check PDF accessibility using Adobe Pro.Presenter:Matt Geeza serves as the director of the CT Library for Accessible Books (CT LAB) and the Middletown Library Service Center (MLSC) with the CT State Library Division of Library Development.About Creating Accessible Digital DocumentsThis series consists of five workshops that focus on creating documents that are accessible for people who use screen readers and/or keyboards to navigate through digital content. The goal of this series is to provide library workers in CT with foundational knowledge needed to create accessible digital documents that comply with the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) 2024 Title II ruling on the accessibility of Web Content and Mobile apps provided by state and local governments. Workshops in this series will focus primarily on the suite of applications that are part of Microsoft’s Office 365: Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
