Similarly, I'm looking for middle school summer enrichment/gifted programs- specifically reading/writing) that could be recommended to families for over the summer. Could be a camp/seminar/ virtual/ website.
I already suggested the summer writing program at Fairfield U and Greatbooks Summer Program.

Subject: [CASL-L] Leadership Opportunities For High School Students?

Happy June Everyone,

I am looking for recommendations for high school student leaders: conferences, trainings, workshops, and the like! The goal is for learners to develop leadership qualities and inspire active participation within leadership clubs. Any help is appreciated!

Hi Kayla,
Connecticut Association of Schools (CAS) has a lot of opportunities via their Student Activities and Student Athletics branch.  Our school hosted the CAS Ignite Conference in the fall and attended the Ignite Change Student Leadership Conference this spring. Both were open to all students regardless of where they were a "leader".  CAS also hosts more specific sessions for student council and athletics.

Good luck,
Jessica

Subject: Re: [CASL-L] Magazine subscriptions

Hi Matt and CASL Folks,

CLC has two subscription management vendors.

Magazine Subscriptions PTP

https://www.ctlibrarians.org/page/ptp

Magazine Subscriptions PTP is offering print periodical services for all library types at a discount up to 30% off the cover price with no service fees. Many subscriptions are also available from PTP in digital format.

WT.Cox

https://www.ctlibrarians.org/page/wtcox

Periodical subscription services, digital newspapers and magazines, and more.

The links below will give you an overview of the 130+ vendors with CLC contracts.

And remember CLC membership is a gateway to discounts and benefits for the entire district. All departments, educators, administrators, and support staff can purchase off CLC’s contracts. The sole exception is Amazon Business, which is for libraries only.

Not sure if you are a member of CLC or would like to learn more about joining. Click on CLC Membership for more information.  Of course, you can contact me any time with your questions about CLC membership and our negotiated contracts with 130+ vendors.

Thank you,

Julie

Hi there-

This is my first year with magazines. I work with StudentMags and they've been great. The rep is always helpful when I reach out to them. I've only had a few magazines that have the occasional delivery timing issues. It did take a while before my subscriptions were delivered after I placed my order.

Does anyone work with Magazine Subscriptions PTP?

I'm looking into changing my magazine vendor but their website seems to be nothing but a homepage and all other links on the page are 404 Not Found.

Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Matt
