Dear CASL members,

I hope your year is starting off with lots of library joy! I wanted to give you a quick advocacy update. CASL is working on a School Library Staffing Act with the CLC, EveryLibrary, and other allied groups. The purpose of this legislation is to ensure that every public school student in CT has meaningful and equitable access to the services of a certified school library media specialist by establishing minimum school-level staffing standards for certified school library media specialists. 

As we move forward, we need your input about ratios and paraprofessionals (library support staff). 

Please participate by using this form OR joining me virtually Tuesday, September 1 at 7:15am, Tuesday, Sept. 1 at 6:15pm or Wednesday, Sept. 2 at 4:00 for a short discussion. Here is the link for all 3 sessions.
