FYI

Please see information below on the STARS AI Scholars Program.

Applications for our 2026-2027 AI Scholars program are now open! I was hoping you could share this opportunity with your ECEP network. I am attaching our recruitment email and a flyer that you can distribute.

AI Scholars pairs K-12 teachers with undergraduate computing students on small teams to build AI literacy and design a real K-12 AI education project together. Teachers get cutting-edge AI teaching skills, a $1000 stipend for completing the program, and professional development certificates, while partnering with a computing student to deepen their subject matter expertise. No prior AI experience is required. I think this could be a great fit for teachers in your network looking to bring AI into their classrooms with real support behind them.

The priority application deadline is October 14th, and there are two virtual info sessions on September 30th if any teachers want to learn more before applying.
