I’m blessed to have an amazing team of talented artists on this project, including my collaborator Rick Beresford, who has a catalogue of songs recorded by country music icons George Jones, Don Williams, Brenda Lee, John Conlee and the Everly Brothers.
Session guitar ace and co-producer John Willis has played on voluminous hit records for Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Taylor Swift, Shania Twain, Willie Nelson, Alan Jackson, Toby Keith, Blake Shelton, Brooks & Dunn, Kenny Rogers, Alabama, Kris Kristofferson, Lionel Richie and Bryan McNight.
Doyle Grisham, long-time steel pedal guitarist in Jimmy Buffett’s Coral Reefer Band, added a special touch to You’re My Joy to the World, as did Luke Bryan drummer Kent Slucher.
Multi-instrumentalist Jake Clayton has performed on legendary stages like The Grand Ole Opry, Madison Square Garden and the CMT Awards and on tours headlined by Garth Brooks, Brad Paisley, Keith Urban, Jason Aldean, Alan Jackson, Dierks Bentley and Miranda Lambert.
Studio session saxophonist Sam Levine rocked Oh What Fun It Is to Ride a Wave, channeling his recordings with Michael McDonald, Kenny Chesney, Carrie Underwood and Lynyrd Skynyrd; along with film soundtracks like Honeymoon in Vegas, Sam has performed live with the likes of Whitney Houston, Al Jarreau, Dolly Parton, Reba McIntire, Liza Minnelli and Sammy Davis Jr.
You’ll also hear plush background vocals by Matt Dame, lead singer of Grammy Award-winning bluegrass group The SteelDrivers and Tania Hancheroff, who has sung on albums by Sheryl Crow, Luke Bryan, Paul Rodgers, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Reba, Carrie Underwood and Josh Turner. She has toured with Rascal Flatts and Peter Cetera of Chicago.
