[MCOH-EH] volunteers and Joint Commission Requirements

TJC wants to make sure you have followed your policy- they do not set volunteer requirements.
They do have flu program required elements to evaluate.
OSHA and state law are the governing regulatory agencies to be concerned with.
OHSA want to ensure Hep B has been addressed if volunteers have potential blood and bodily fluid exposure risk.
TB screening -
Annual TB surveillance according to TB Risk Assessment
Backgrounds checks ,and UDS per state law and/or hiring policies unless specifically called out as unique process.

Hi,
I am trying to get our volunteers (auxiliary staff) in my EH program and caught up with what is the minimum needed to be Joint Commission compliant.
Does this require a background check, UDS, PPD, and proof of MMR and Varicella and annual Influenza?
Please let me know what you require.
We live in rural Texas, most auxiliary staff are over 65 yrs.
