[MCOH-EH] pre-placement process

For our own employees, we use RNs do run the entire preplacement process. Only when there are red flags or questions raised do we involve the physician. It works well. For most of our outside clients, we have a physician assessment, as that's the expectation for the visit (and what the client is paying for).

Subject: Re: [MCOH-EH] pre-placement process

Hello all
As with many of our health care systems, we are asked to use resources wisely. I am interested in what you EHS does for pre-placement evaluations. We have traditionally had NP's do the exams. We have the RN;s do the paper clearances for certain positions, with referral to the NP for red flags.

We are thinking about having RN's perform the basic exam and defer to the NP or MD when there are questions.

Thanks,
Phil Adamo

Don't forget your health matters! There are biometric screenings occurring over the next month. What's your thing? We can help you find it!
