[MCOH-EH] Drug and Alcohol testing

We do a specific release for drug testing... general release for other medical information

On a separate issue concerning Drug & Alcohol testing, regardless of test profile and methodology, would your institution request the employee to sign a general medical release plus a specific release on drug test results?

Does anyone use any of the spot urine drug or Rapid Saliva Alcohol Testing as a preliminary on-site test prior to sending an employee who is suspected of being under the influence to an off-site lab for testing?  I am concerned that the sensitivity and specificity of these tests are not reliable enough to make their use as an initial screen valuable.
