[MCOH-EH] EPIC

Worked with Epic at Kaiser back in 2008. The most occupational medicine
friendly feature to me was the ability to create your own templates for
required reports like PR-2s and PR-4s . The smart phrase option is also
very user friendly. Another added plus was promptness of delivery of work
duty status forms to employers, you can basically set it up to send the
form as the employee is booking his/her appointment. I also liked the
patient education side which you can again print to the patient as they
exit .

Takes some time to become efficient with it though and a lot of
physicians specially primary care docs, found it too time consuming as
everyone needed at least an hour or two at the end of the day to complete
documentation .

Regards,

Enass.
