Sharon's response is consistent with our local practice. I am aware that another hospital in our system is piloting a clinic that opened in December. From a recent newsletter, "The onsite employee health clinic is a joint venture between the system department of Value-Based Care and Payment, and the SSM Health St. Louis Physician Organization. The clinic offers health screenings, preventive tests and vaccines and is available to treat minor illnesses, injuries and skin conditions. All SSM Health employees are eligible to use the health clinic for a flat $10 fee per visit, regardless of insurance coverage". This clinic is based in Missouri, so I cannot provide other information at this time.

We primarily see occ health issues only and do not charge for any services we provide. We will consult and may provide minor care for non-work related issues but refer to primary care for the majority that are not work related.

We see health system and campus employees both for UCLA but not for personal illness unless a fit for duty issue relevant to work. So in general we do not see personal health issues. For the health system we are base funded so no cross charging but for the campus for OH preventive services we cross charge but not for WC. This is practice not policy.

I was wondering if any of the hospitals systems get paid for the Employee Health Services it provides to its employees or contact staff, particularly if an employee presents with non-work- related illness?
Are you set for billing codes or do you provide services pro bono, or charge small stipend fees?
Does your organization have policies speaking to the process?
Thank you!
