We use a plastic clip like the ones that you may use on your crash carts to identified locked/opened drawers. We choose a new color each year in partnership with other local hospitals.

It doesn't serve as any kind of message to patients/visitors about being vaccinated or not, but it serves as a cue during flu season to our healthcare workers that if you don't have a clip, a mask is required.

How does your organization identify that an employee has been vaccinated for influenza? Last year, we ordered plain colored badges that were long enough that they hung below the employee's identification badge. We're considering printed badge holders or stickers to place on the badge for this flu season. Many of our employees swipe their badges through a time clock, and we don't want to use any method of identification that could impact their badge swipe.

Thank you,
Meredith

We use the same badge buddy you describe for the last 3 years. They said "Flu Season 2015-2016" last season if you were vaccinated and each year are a different color. It indicates you have been vaccinated and so don't have to mask in patient areas during the flu season per county health dept. orders.
