[MCOH-EH] Question

We have gone to using QFT pre-hire and annually. The fact that no follow-up visit(s) are needed is one of the great features of using a blood test, either QFT or T-Spot. I have heard that some facilities use the blood test initially on hire, then do PPD screening annually. Non-compliance could still be an issue, but since only one return visit is needed, it should be less.

Two experiences from two different organizations.

1. Employee must complete 2 step before hire

2. Switched to TB Gold

In both situations, poor compliance was the driver.

Good luck Whitney!

Subject: [MCOH-EH] Question

I am new in the Employee Health position. I am looking for suggestions to improve the 2step TST compliance. Currently New hires are screened and the first step test is given with instruction to return following orientation for 2nd step. This process does not seem efficient as I am constantly chasing down employees for their 2nd step! Any help would be appreciated.
