We require the same immunizations/titers as well as TB skin test for all volunteers.

Since our volunteers are working with the public, in the gift shop, giving out directions at a desk in the lobby, taking blood pressures, etc. we realized without MMR and Varicella Immunity status they could be exposed, after our last potential outbreak, so have been asking for a titer for that for them. Is that what others are doing?

We give our volunteers their PPD's and flu, or we accept if they've had done elsewhere.

How does your organization handle student or junior volunteers? Do you provide immunizations to them, or do you require the student/junior volunteers to be immunized elsewhere prior to volunteering?

Are adult volunteers handled in a similar manner?

Thank you,
Meredith
