This practice is inconsistent across our healthcare system. Employee Health is an integrated service and identified Fit Testing as a local responsibility when we merged in 2012. Employee Health is responsible for Medical Clearance for Respirator Fit Testing but local resources perform the fit testing and PAPR training. In institutions where there is a Safety Department the testing / education piece lives with them. In our smaller institutions where EHS was more involved in testing we've been slowly transitioning to the local hospital to take over responsibility. We do track the testing in our Database.
