As of now, I have not found anything on JC website to support the statement from MOCK surveyor. We are waiting for the final report, we have requested documentation for the recommendation for review.

We also test on hire. Is there any literature out there that substantiates color vision testing more often?

I test on hire. It was the process before to only test nurses, but I think color coding is used everywhere in the hospital, so I test everyone.
Have never thought to repeat the testing

I am curious if any repeat color vision testing on employees after the on boarding HA process? If so, could you share your policy, protocol and process ?

Hello,
Our security department recently implemented a new policy requiring all security officers to wear ballistic (bullet proof) vests.
Some of our employees are having a difficult time wearing it due to back/shoulder strain.
Wearing the vest is required but we did offer a "break in period" where they would start wearing for 1 hour per shift daily and then take it off and continue to build over a period of time until they are wearing full time.
Despite this some employees are having issues.
Does anyone have experience with this or suggestions that would help make this transition easier?
Thanks,
Maggie

We do it for ALL new hires. The lab verifies that it is done during their CAP survey.
