We are concerned at our institution about the possibility for our vaccine recipients of experiencing Shoulder Injury Related to Vaccine Administration (SIRVA). It is especially worrisome during the influenza vaccination period, when so many staff and patients are receiving that vaccine. We are also concerned that many providers may not recognize SIRVA when a patient experiences it. (We have seen reports of patients who were diagnosed with arthritis.)

Do any other institutions have programs to educate vaccine administrators and also providers to help prevent or recognize SIRVA? Thanks, Tim
