We take the testing out to 4 months and do the same counselling. I would consider the 6 months with that Quant. Would love to hear what others do.

Subject: {EXTERNAL} [MCOH-EH] Post exposure Hepatitis C

I'd like to hear how others are managing post-exposure with a source patient who shows REACTIVE HCV antibody and HCV RNA DETECT/QUANT 200,000+. Do you typically perform a baseline panel on employee with a repeat in 6 weeks, 4 months, and 6 months. Other than counseling the patient to practice safe sex and report any symptoms, is there anything else you would recommend?
