We don't have policies that address specific mental health issues. My practice would be to refer them to a provider and follow-up recommendations for restrictions/accomdations.

Good morning colleagues,

I have just join the MCOH Section and listserv, because I have a new job in Phoenix. One of the first issues that came across my desk was a hospital employee expressing suicidal ideation. Does anyone have a policy that addresses this subject, so that I can build on it to provide my health system with one thath suits their needs. Thank you and I look forward to meeting all of you in Washington.

Ron
