There are no additional requirements for HD workers, to my knowledge. This sometimes gets confused because there is a need to monitor HBsAb on dialysis patients, who do lose immunity over time and need periodic vaccine boosting. But that's only for the patients getting HD, not the workers.

Subject: [EXTERNAL] [MCOH-EH] Hemodialysis medical surveiilance

Can anyone direct me to resources for medical surveillance/preplacement exams for hemodialysis healthcare workers? Is there an indication to draw additional baseline lab work than you would draw for any other healthcare workers?
Thank you for any advice/guidance.
