[MCOH-EH] Pre-placement COVID-19 testing?

Given ongoing community transmission, asymptomatic new hires and current employees are at equally high risk of acquiring infection in the community. A negative test the week before hire doesn't mean they'll be negative the day they start work, or the following week, or a month from now. Instead of testing, we have focused on screening for a history of exposure, any symptoms, and educating new hires about reporting exposures and symptoms.

We are not testing hires for anything except Immunity labs and TB exposure.

Good afternoon everyone,

We are currently testing all new hires for COVID-19 and are fortunately experiencing a very low positivity rate.

I am wondering if any of you are also doing pre-placement testing, and have in any way adjusted your testing strategy according to your experience?

Thank you.

Take care,
