Pamela,
Anyone with an exemption in our facilities must remain masked regardless of community transmission. This is the same with our flu exemptions. At some point we will have to revisit this, however until the CDC can declare an end to the pandemic OR Season, I do not forsee us recommending to allow them to remove their mask.

Subject: [MCOH-EH] COVID exemptions and mask mandates

Hello all!

For facilities who have lifted COVID masking mandates based on community transmission - are staff who may be unvaccinated or partially vaccinated but have an approved COVID vaccine exemption also allowed to be unmasked? How does your facility handle source control for those with approved COVID vaccine exemptions?

Sincerely,

Pamela Caudill, BSN RN
