Thank you kindly for the reply.
Is your institution choosing to do annual TB testing or are you saying that the State of Nebraska mandates it?
If it’s your institution, and you’d be interested in my having a conversation with ID or others there, I can work with them on the actual risks versus perceived risks, and the costs versus benefits.
We determined with CDC, ATS, IDSA, and NTCA – all in agreeance- that there annual TB testing is wasteful and causes harm. Post known exposure and in settings with documented ongoing active transmissions (e.g. border clinics), testing could have use.
“High” TB rates are 90/100,000; the US average is 2.8/100,000 and Healthcare workers are lower than that.
Let me know about Nebraska’s rule, please!!

We are not as we are considered low risk. IP does a risk assessment annually which determines if we need to do annual screening.
