[MCOH-EH] Walking Boot

H, hm

There isn't a specific policy on open-toed shoes for all industries. There is just a standard [29 CFR 1910.136(a)]<https://www.osha.gov/laws-regs/regulations/standardnumber/1910/1910.136> that states if there is a hazard posed to employees feet, like chemical spills, crushing injuries, etc. that the employer must ensure that the employees are wearing protective shoes.

So what's the industry? Can you get a Teflon or a steel cap? What is the specific hazard in the specific job, as oppos3ed to the industry?

Would anyone be willing to share their policy on walking boots/open-toed walking boots?

It has been a discussion lately and I keep stating we can not allow staff to work with open-toed walking boots as OSHA states no open-toed shoes should be worn.

Thank you,
