[MCOH-EH] Source Patient Testing for Bloodborne Pathogen Exposures

Hello,
In the event of an occupational bloodborne pathogen exposure, do organizations use recent negative test results for HIV, HBV, and HCV in lieu of testing the source patient at the time of exposure? If yes, is there a timeframe used to determine whether those are acceptable proof that there is no risk to the exposed employee? There has been some recent discussion around this, so I would like to know what other organizations do and if there are any specific guidelines/evidence that have been used to determine your organization's practice.
Thank you,
Jamie
