I asked this very question to the CDC Tb team in the state which I work. While the state does not
mandate annual symptom questionnaires for those with positive Tb screening, is does recommend facilities to follow what is outlined in the ‘Guidelines for Preventing the Transmission of TB in Health-Care Settings, 2005’:
https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/pdf/rr/rr5417.pdf . So essentially, it is up to the employer and their Tb control policy. You may want to check with your state CDC Tb team.

Does anyone know if it is a requirement to assess for symptoms of active TB in past positive reactors? I currently do a yearly questionnaire for symptoms but others in my system don’t. Thank you for any guidance you can offer.
