I believe there has been a shortage of Td, and we a have using Tdap instead -

Since we are still seeing Pertussis I have a hard time not repeating the Tdap every 10 years. I am hoping the CDC will change the recommendation to every 10 years. So far we are giving a 2nd Tdap.

When an employee (new or existing) had a TdaP 10+ years ago, do you give a Td or another TdaP? If just a Td, what about those in obstetrics or the ED? I know CDC says Td, but I’m seeing a lot of family practice providers giving a 2nd
TdaP. Thank you for any guidance you can provide.
