Hello,

What are other health care organizations doing about training Travelers (temporary workers) who will have potential for BBP exposure on the job?  Do you include them in initial new hire training as required by the BBP Standard that covers employees or do you exclude them because they are non-employee status?

My opinion is that you still need to provide training to cover information for your organizations BBP Exposure Control Plan and other required topics.  How your organization handles BBP exposures and follow-up may be different from another organizations process, etc.

Do you have information or experience to share about this population of workers regarding regulatory training and potential/actual citations for not providing it.

Thanks in advance,

Therese
