I believe since they see Pertussis in the community, the thinking is they should keep that immunity up.

We give a Td booster. If someone is requesting a Tdap due to pregnancy, we refer to PCP. Do you know the rationale for family practice providers giving a 2nd TdaP?

When an employee (new or existing) had a TdaP 10+ years ago, do you give a Td or another TdaP? If just a Td, what about those in obstetrics or the ED? I know CDC says Td, but I’m seeing a lot of family practice providers giving a 2nd
TdaP. Thank you for any guidance you can provide.
