I will be following this thread as well as my organization is currently evaluating.
At this time, post-offer drug screens still include THC. Any positive results is read as positive. There is not an option for the MRO to determine negative based on medical recommendation. We are in California
where recreational marijuana is legal but we still follow Federal statues in regards to drug screens for post-offer physicals.

With the changes in some state laws regarding recreational marijuana, I would be interested in hearing how other healthcare organizations are handling pre-placement drug screening for THC. Are THC positive drug screens excluded from employment?
Has anyone stopped testing for THC in pre-placement screening? Do you handle medical marijuana differently than recreational?
