I don't have a competency assessment but if anyone demonstrates behaviors of concern I send them out for assessment...whether it physical or cognitive....and I asked the provider to address the concerns observed.  For cognitive issues I send to a psychologist that does neuro psych testing.

Subject: [MCOH-EH] Procedures/protocols to ensure competency for older workers?

Everyone, I know that this is a controversial topic but I am wondering if anyone has any interesting procedures/protocols in your organization for this?

This is a topic of concern, and therefore opportunity, particularly in healthcare.

Thank you.

Yours in good health,

Craig Thorne, M.D.
