We utilize the hospital Emergency Department.  They have the paperwork/report packets. They also draw the labs, etc.  Employees are to follow up with Employee Health the next business day.

Our nursing supervisors have packets that we make up with all the appropriate paperwork, consents, and lab slips to process an after-hours exposure. We follow-up first thing the next business day.

I am looking to see what other people have for a process after blood borne pathogen exposures.  What is your process to get the exposed staff’s baseline HIV and Hep C labs done during off hours when OccMed is closed?
